This course is an introduction to combinational and sequential logic circuits. The topics covered are Boolean algebra, operation of logic gates and integrated circuits, analysis, design and software simulation of standard components such as multiplexers, encoders, decoders, comparators, arithmetic logic units, latches, flip-flops, shift-registers, counters. The topics covered also include the design of micro-processor control unit, data-path, and memory, an introduction to VHDL or Verilog and FPGA.
