This course focuses on the fundamentals of each computer building block and special emphasis will be placed on hardware/software interaction of a variety of commercial architectures. The course also explores fundamental computer architectural designs and techniques such as data representation, digital logic, processor arithmetic and control, the Von Neumann architecture, instruction sets, memory management, storage, and other input/output topics.
