EG350Advanced Dynamics of Mechanical Systems

Course Prerequisites ToolSNHU EG350 has 3 direct prerequisites, with 12 courses in its complete prerequisite tree.

Undergraduate · 3 credits

This course explores machine design as it applies to planar mechanisms. Students will learn graphical linkage synthesis of four-bar and six-bar linkages and deepen their knowledge of the kinematic and kinetic analysis of linkages and mechanisms. Kinematic analysis methods presented include graphical, algebraic, and complex representation. Additionally, the course also emphasizes the development of a variety of skills such as analytical problem solving, critical thinking, and systems thinking, as well as the use of simulation and prototyping tools essential for modern engineering practice. Throughout the course, the design and analysis topics are applied in both individual and collaborative, team-based projects.
