EG201Fluid Mechanics
Course Prerequisites ToolSNHU EG201 has 3 direct prerequisites, with 8 courses in its complete prerequisite tree, and is required by 5 other courses.
Undergraduate · 3 credits
In this course, students will study the concepts and applications of fluid mechanics, extending understanding of statics beyond structures. This course will provide an overview of fluid properties, and introduce fluid statics including pressure distribution and forces on curved and plane surfaces, and rigid body motion. Students will apply conservation of mass, momentum, and energy to fluid analysis of open systems. The concepts of dimensional analysis, internal flow, and external flow will be presented. Students will further apply their knowledge through computer simulations and experimentation.
